What I learned In this project I learned a lot about mental health. I learned that you can be diagnosed with a mental disorder and basically any age/time in your life. I also learned that my disorder isn't diagnosed that often because people normally mistake it for depression or anxiety or sometimes even don't notice it all all and just think there experiencing clingy behavior towards someone. People with DPD can't take medication to specifically cure DPD because there isn't a medication to cure it as of right now. Something people with DPD can do is go to extensive therapy and in most cases this works.

Project description (DPD) In this project everyone was assigned a mental disorder that we were supposed to research and write a case report on. We also had to write a creative story about someone who had our disorder. You had a choice to have a partner for this project and I had a partner (Alena) Our disorder was DPD which stands for dependent personality disorder. this disorder is basically a more intense version of seperation anxiety which you have probably heard of. Systems of this disorder include:

Exhibition Reflection This exhibition was supposed to be set up like a doctors office where people would walk in and they would be handed a fictional medical record that was based on a character from our story. Then they would have to find our booth to get a case report and see what disorder they had. Once they were at our booth they did an art therapy activity that we created specific to our disorder. Once they were done walking around and going to there specific booth they are supposed to file there medical records in a filing cabinet then leave. Honestly this exhibition was one of the more un-organized ones. There was only one person who came to my booth and everyone there seemed pretty confused on what was going on and everyone was asking me where to go and where there booth was. It was a fun project over all but the exhibition was un organized.
